Burgos is best known for its heritage structure called
the Cape Bojeador Lighthouse, or simply the Burgos Lighthouse. Ever since its establishment in 31 March 1892 by the
Spaniards, this structure, which is the highest-elevated lighthouse in the entire Philippines, has guided ships of all types, including
Spanish galleons, American battleships, and commercial vessels, away from the rocks and reefs of the coast.
What is less well-known are the spectacular natural formations along the
shores as well as up in the hills.
